Strategy when growth stalls or markets shift

When your business plateaus or a market disrupts you, strategy matters more than effort. We diagnose what is broken, then design and build the response with you.

02 — Our approach

Discover.Design.Build.

We bring subject-matter experts into the work from discovery through execution, operating as a lean, fully-functioning team rather than an overhead-laden advisory firm. This keeps accountability direct, expertise grounded in your actual problem, and results measurable at every stage.

Discovery starts with the symptoms

Are they coming from inside the business, or from outside it?

InternalGrowth plateau

The symptoms

Revenue is flat. You have tried new tactics, stronger salespeople, more offerings. The position that once opened doors no longer does. Your operations are built for one model while you are selling another. Competitors are winning, not because they are better, but because they are positioned differently.

The diagnosis. The root cause is internal: your value proposition or business model has become misaligned with what the market actually wants or what you can deliver.

Strategic Reframe

ExternalMarket disruption

The symptoms

Sales are declining rapidly. You are losing market share. Costs have increased suddenly. A new competitor emerged and is winning, a major customer departed, or a regulatory shift changed the rules. You did not create the problem, but you need a strategy now.

The diagnosis. The root cause is external: a change in the competitive landscape, customer behaviour, or regulatory environment that requires an immediate strategic response.

Competitive Response Strategy

Then we design the solution. It can be a reframe, a new customer acquisition plan, a new promotion campaign, a new workflow, a new tool, a digital transformation or a pivot. Then we build it.

  1. Discover

The first step is diagnosis. We assess what is actually happening and why.

    Growth plateau
For a business facing a growth plateau, this means identifying where your value proposition and business model have become misaligned with market demand.
    Market disruption
For a business responding to market disruption, this means understanding what triggered the disruption and what your realistic strategic options are.
    Ongoing counsel
For ongoing strategic counsel, this means identifying what is working, what requires adjustment, and where growth can compound.

In all cases, discovery is grounded in fact, not assumption.

    Result

A clear understanding of the actual situation and its root cause.

  2. Design

Once the situation is clear, we design your strategic response.

    Growth plateau
For a growth plateau, this means redesigning your business model, value proposition, and market positioning to create a fundamentally different competitive position.
    Market disruption
For market disruption, this means determining the strategic move that addresses the root cause—whether that is repositioning, entering a new channel, adjusting pricing, pivoting the offering, or another response.
    Ongoing counsel
For ongoing counsel, this means identifying what adjustments will sustain and accelerate growth.

The goal is always the same: design the move that solves the real problem, not the obvious one.

    Result

A clear strategic direction with a defined path forward.

  3. Build

Strategy only matters when it is executed. We remain involved through implementation.

    Validate
Validating the strategy with early customers.
    Align
Ensuring your team understands and supports the direction.
    Measure
Measuring results so you can adjust based on what the market tells you.

Sometimes we are closely involved in launch and early iteration. Other times we provide only guidance and accountability while your team executes. We determine together the level of execution support you really need.

    Result

A strategy that is embedded in how you operate and measurable in your results.

03 — Our experience

Strategies in action

Same capabilities. Different value proposition. Different business model. Different growth trajectory.

Lubricant drums and heavy equipment in a dim industrial workshop

Industrial trading · From supplier to strategic partner

A product supplier An optimisation partner

The Challenge

An industrial trading company was selling commodities; lubricants, equipment, supplies, to procurement departments. The relationship was transactional. Revenue plateaued.

The Reframe

They weren't a product supplier. They were already an optimisation partner, saving clients money through better operations, longer equipment life and smarter resource allocation. Same products. Different value proposition. Different positioning.

The Result

Now they enter strategic conversations with operations leaders, not just price negotiations. Their revenue transformed from sales receipts to annual contracts. They sit at meeting tables during the design stage not only attend to incidents on workshop floors.

Work gear, books, an olive oil flask, a honey jar, a water treatment cylinder on a pipe and livestock feed arranged together as one collection

Multi-brand portfolio · From scattered products to unified portfolio

Multiple vendors A unified solutions portfolio

The Challenge

An entrepreneur had built multiple successful brands in food production, apparel, water treatment and publishing. Each was selling independently into GCC markets. The business was scattered; growth was exhausting.

The Reframe

They weren't multiple vendors. They were a unified solutions portfolio; a curated collective of premium brands tailored to solve client problems across multiple categories. New corporate and brand structure. New business divisions. Different market positioning.

The Result

Unified governance. Unified operational management. Fresh market perception. Now they're invited into strategic partnerships, not commodity transactions.

A visitor looking at framed photographs on a gallery wall

Independent art gallery · From closed doors to digital discovery

A venue-dependent gallery Experiential curators

The Challenge

An independent art gallery faced a sudden crisis when pandemic lockdowns, road closures, and government curfews shut its physical space indefinitely. With exhibition launch events cancelled and no foot traffic, visitor numbers and sales collapsed.

The Reframe

They were not a venue-dependent gallery. They were experiential curators—able to deliver discovery and engagement through designed digital experiences. We redesigned their exhibitions as gamified online gallery tours with ambient audio and music to create immersive exploration. We repositioned their digital media collection, which was previously secondary to in-gallery viewing, as the primary offering for on-screen discovery.

The Result

The result was unexpected. New audiences; younger, digitally native, previously uninterested in fine art discovered the gallery online. Engagement surged among demographics the gallery had never reached. The reframed offering became an approachable entry point to art, not a niche experience.

04 — Why H.H.A Advisory exists

Not ideas. Strategy that actually gets executed.

I spent half of my career in agencies and consulting firms, J. Walter Thompson, Publicis, Arthur Andersen and Barker Langham, learning how to position brands and find the story that makes a business click with its audience.

The other half I spent in operating roles: launching and marketing an e-commerce business for pre-owned luxury goods, developing a fine jewellery brand that competes with fashion jewellery, and stepping in as CMO and interim managing director of a medical diagnostics startup.

That taught me that the moves which unlock growth come from seeing the business differently: recognising what is positioned incorrectly, understanding what a disruption is signalling, and finding the reframe that changes everything.

So I built the opposite of a big consulting firm. No approval layers, no redundant process, no overhead that inflates cost without improving outcomes. A lean team that brings in subject-matter experts as needed, from discovery through execution.
